National Sales Manager
Justin King
Justin King is a third-generation member of the King family. In addition to his responsibility for distributor relations, Justin leads a nine-person national sales force. He is also exploring the winemaking side of the business, producing a limited amount of Biodynamic Pinot Noir from the 2016 vintage that will be available only in the King Estate Restaurant and to wine club members. Before joining his family’s wine business, Justin, who is a professional fingerstyle acoustic guitarist known for pioneering the percussive tapping style, founded and operated Vinegar Hill Sound, a recording studio in Brooklyn. In the late 2000s he worked as a photojournalist in places such as Iraq and Haiti. An active community volunteer, King serves on the boards of the Oregon Environmental Council, Square One Villages and FOOD for Lane County.
Senior Analyst
Pat O’Connell
Pat’s interest in wine started while working his way through college in restaurants in San Diego. He started his career in the wine business working for Wine Warehouse in Southern California where he held a variety of sales and management positions before moving to the supplier side of the business in 1999 with Raymond Vineyards. Over the next 10 years, Pat continued to expand his responsibilities, becoming the National Sales Manager when Boisset purchased Raymond in 2009. While working at Boisset, he transitioned from sales management to sales analyst. In 2013, Pat came to King Estate bringing his 25 years of wine industry knowledge and experience to work with the sales team as the Senior Analyst. When he isn’t working, Pat can be found exploring all the outdoor activities the beautiful state of Oregon has to offer.
Northwest Regional Sales Manager & National Director Chain Retail
Pete Cabrera
Pete Cabrera joined King Estate in 2019 as Director of Chain Retail & Northwest Regional Sales Manager. Based in Portland, Pete is responsible for working with key distributors and national and regional retail chain buyers, overseeing national and key accounts, managing off-premise chain sales, and business development. Prior to joining King Estate Pete spent two decades working in beverage sales and distribution for a variety of companies in the Northwest, most recently as National Sales Director for Free Public Wines. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, retiring in 1994 with the rank of sergeant. He and his wife of 27 years, Kim, have two grown daughters.
Southwest Regional Manager
Spencer Cole
Beginning his career in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, Spencer worked for the Terlato Family at Chimney Rock Winery where he gained a strong admiration for the great wine regions of the world and a passion for customer education and engagement. Spencer brings a decade of experience as a wine industry professional, most recently managing the business for Boisset Family Estates in the Southwest. As Southwest Regional Manager for King Estate, Spencer oversees all aspects of business in California, Hawaii, Texas, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico.
Central Regional Manager
Ingrid Greiser
Based in San Antonio, Texas, Ingrid is responsible for managing wholesale accounts in eight midwestern and southern states, from Iowa to Texas. After earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash., Ingrid went on to get an on-the-job education in wine, starting with a Washington state distributor that represented fine West Coast wines. Next she moved to Napa Valley where she spent eight years working for two wine companies – Darioush and Boisset – in sales, brand development and new brand launches. In her free time she enjoys horseback riding and going hiking or taking road trips with her dogs, Rudy and Stella. Other interests include travel, dining out and gardening.
Northeast Regional Manager
Mike Stein
Mike Stein has joined the King Estate sales force as Northeast Regional Manager. In this role, Mike oversees 14 states and 18 distributors to manage all aspects of the sales program. A graduate of UCLA, Mike has earned his Level 1 Sommelier certificate. In addition to stints with Robert Mondavi and Constellation, Mike spent more than a decade at Terlato Wines where he served as Vice President of Sales for the Northeast. He has more than 25 years of experience in the beverage and alcohol industry.
Southeast Regional Sales Manager
Kirk Walker
Kirk Walker joined King Estate in 2020 as Southeast Regional Manager where he oversees 11 states ranging from Florida to Michigan. A veteran of the wine and spirits industry with 33 years of experience, Kirk spent the bulk of his career with Kobrand Corporation. In his last position he served as Vice President/Group Manager for the distributor network in 10 western states. Kirk is married and resides in Tampa, Florida.
Florida Key Account Manager
David Baricevic
A 10-year veteran of the Florida wine market, David brought a long history of sales success to King Estate when he joined our team in 2016 as Florida Key Account Manager. Previously he worked as both a Sales Representative and a Luxury Sales Representative for King Estate distributor partner Republic National Distributing Company. Just prior to joining King Estate David was at Bronco Wine Company with a focus in the Orlando, Tampa and other north Florida markets where he worked all sales channels with great results.
Washington State Manager
Mackenzie Cox
Mackenzie Cox has served as Washington State Manager since 2022, bringing a wealth of experience to her role. In this position Mackenzie is responsible for developing relationships and building business within both on- and off-premise channels in the Washington state region. A native of Seattle, Mackenzie first broke into the wine business as a back-up steward at QFC, a popular grocery store chain that began in the Seattle area and is now owned by Kroger. Eventually she went on to work as a tasting specialist at Long Shadows, a Washington winery, as well as for a distributor and suppliers before landing at King Estate. She has earned her WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust) Level 2 award.
Oregon Market Manager
Austin Hughes
Austin Hughes is Oregon Market Manager. In this role he works on new account development, distributor relationships, retail merchandising and more. Austin has worked in the beverage industry since 2014 and in wine sales specifically for more than three years. He is working on obtaining his CSW (Certified Specialist of Wine) certification. Austin was raised in the Eugene-Springfield area, where he currently resides with his family.
Oregon Market Manager
Erin O'Riley
Erin O’Riley is Oregon Market Manager. In this position she presents King Estate products to Northwest regional chain buyers and conducts retail planning and merchandising efforts. Other responsibilities include new account development and frequent engagement with distributors and district managers. A native Oregonian, Erin started in the beverage industry in 2001 at Mt. Hood Beverage. She has held a variety of positions for beer and wine companies in Oregon and Washington. She lives in Milwaukie, Oregon, with her husband where they raise Dalmations.
IN MEMORIAM
Jeff Brooks, 1956-2023
King Estate mourns the loss of Jeff Brooks, who served superbly as our Northeast Regional Manager since 2014. Jeff had an extensive career in the wine and spirits industry in key account sales, market and distributor management, national accounts, international sales, and executive management. Jeff began his career in Washington, D.C., as a distributor wine consultant before joining Schieffelin & Co. in the mid-Atlantic states. Additional sales positions in metro New York and national accounts followed. Jeff joined Kobrand Corporation in New England and was promoted to several management positions. He became a member of the executive team in 2007, with his last position there as Vice President, Northeast/Canada Group Manager. Jeff resided in Sturbridge, Mass., with his wife and children. Among his many wonderful qualities, Jeff is especially remembered and appreciated for his professionalism and extensive knowledge of the markets within his region. His sudden passing was a tremendous loss to all who knew him. He was a valued member of the King Estate team and is greatly missed.
