Tasting Notes

Foris Pinot Blanc starts out soft and luscious, with aromas of white peach, vanilla, nutmeg, sage, fresh wildflower and butterscotch. Balanced acidity and oak bring body and spice to the mid-palate, where baked apple, brioche and lemon oil can be detected. The finish shows increasing volume and roundness.

Vineyard Notes

From the Illinois Valley sub-AVA in Cave Junction, Oregon, a pioneer in the Oregon wine industry, Foris is the southernmost vineyard in the state. The high elevation of this vineyard and its close proximity to the Pacific Ocean provide ideal growing conditions for Alsace style varietals.

Winemaker Notes

From Oregon’s southernmost vineyard, this fruit was handpicked, whole cluster pressed, cold settled, racked, and slow fermented at 55 degrees in 78% oak and 22% stainless steel. Sur lie aged five months in stainless steel tanks and French and American oak.
