Tasting Notes
-
On the nose discover plum, cassis, star anise, pepper, blackberry, cedar, spice and violets. Tobacco and toasted oak join the flavors on the palate. A lush start of grippy tannins is followed by a mid-palate with the depth and power that characterizes this varietal. Acidity and tannins linger for a long finish. Enjoy now and through 2025.

Vineyard Notes
-
Located in the Wahluke Slope sub-AVA of the greater Columbia Valley AVA, Weinbau's south-facing alluvial slope consists of perfectly draining soils. The vineyard experiences moderate temperatures that help elongate hang time with ideal ripening conditions. The microclimate produces a richer, riper style of Cabernet Franc.
