Vineyard Notes
-
This very limited production wine is a personal favorite of King Estate Winemaker Brent Stone. Sitting at 800 to 1,000 feet in elevation, these grapes have a unique balance of perfect ripeness and fresh acidity. This Pinot Noir is made exclusively from Dijon clone 375, showing beautiful aromatics and balanced structure. Flavor components include violet, cherry and strawberry, ending with a long finish.

Winemaker Notes
-
Whole clusters are destemmed then subjected to a 48-hour cold soak with daily pump overs. For further concentration of flavor and color, 10% of juice is bled off the red wine during fermentation using the Saignée method. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel open top tanks with daily punch downs. All winemaking practices are certified Biodynamic, including native fermentations (primary and secondary) and minimal intervention throughout. Aged in French oak barrels for 14 months, 25% new.
