2015 North by Northwest Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 3L

Tasting Notes

This 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon has a reddish black center with crimson edges. It has aromas of just ripe blackberry and cassis with secondary notes of tobacco leaf and leather. There are flavors of plum and cassis, structured by hints of ground coffee, clove and anise. The wine has a fleshy mouthfeel and well integrated tannins, held together by pleasant acidity and a lengthy finish. Enjoyable now, and through 2030.

Winemaker Notes

This wine was cold soaked for extraction, then punched down, and pumped over. For optimum flavor and body, the grapes underwent delestage, and saw an extended maceration. This wine saw 18 months in French and American oak barrels, 35% of which were new.
