King Estate could have asked for no better way to celebrate our 30th anniversary year than this: Wine Press Northwest has named King Estate Winery its 2021 Pacific Northwest Winery of the Year.
Out of some 2,250 regional wineries, just 20 have received this recognition, putting King Estate in the top 1% of eligible wineries. Of past winners, only five have been from Oregon. With this award King Estate joins 19 of the Pacific Northwest’s most elite wineries who have been recognized for their longevity, quality, reputation, industry involvement, facilities and more.
The Award from Wine Press Northwest
In acknowledging the award, CEO Ed King credited the staff and loyal customers who make King Estate a success. “We are truly at a high point in our history in terms of wine growing and wine making,” he said. “It is an honor to be part of the outstanding group of people at King Estate who work hard and work together to make our enterprise a success.”
A key factor in King Estate’s selection was its strong performance in regional competitions, including earning one Double Platinum and three additional Platinum awards in the 2020 Wine Press Northwest Platinum Judging competition. The award is a fitting tribute to the excellence of King Estate wines and the role the company has played in elevating Oregon wines on the national and international stage.
