Tasting Notes

The wine opens with enticing fragrances of honeysuckle, fresh apricot, nectarine, lychee, allspice, mango and tangerine. A soft entry bursts with fruit and floral flavors of apricot, peach, lychee, key lime, pear, rose petals and mandarin orange. The spiciness of the Gewürztraminer, the dominant grape in this blend, compliments the other three varietals, producing a layered and balanced wine.

Vineyard Notes

In the Grand Cru vineyards of Alsace, the French government requires that wines be made from the “noble grapes”: Pinot Gris, Riesling, Muscat and Gewürztraminer. These varietals, known for making aromatic, crisp and dry white wines, are planted on our estate vineyard. King Estate's cool climate creates perfect growing conditions for these four noble grapes and pays tribute to the beautiful wines of Alsace.

Winemaker Notes

The wine was whole cluster pressed, then cool fermented in stainless steel. Aged sur lie for eight months in stainless steel tanks.
