Tasting Notes

On the entrance the wine shows supple and round tannins, a signature trait of Pfeiffer, Nicholas and Bradshaw vineyards. On the mid-palate, acid and lean tannins from King Estate and Croft vineyards provide structure. And on the finish, Freedom Hill shines through with spice and earth notes. The crimson color foreshadows the rich dark fruit flavors of blackberry, blueberry, black cherry and cranberry, along with strawberry, graham cracker, graphite & clove.

Vineyard Notes

Each vintage, our winemakers have the ability to ferment and age individual blocks and vineyards separately until they are blended. This allows our winemakers to hand-select individual fruit from a range of premier Willamette Valley vineyards. Each vineyard contributes unique nuances and character to this blend, making this wine more than just the sum of its parts.

Winemaker Notes

The fruit was cold soaked for 48 hours with daily pump overs, then fermented in a stainless steel open top tank with twice daily punch downs. Aged 18 months in French oak, 32% new.
