2022 King Estate Pfeiffer Pinot Gris
-
Tasting Notes
-
A lovely melding of flowers and fruit lifts this wine and carries it with finesse. The nose is bursting with notes of honeysuckle, pear, melon, stone fruit, lime zest, honeycomb, apple Danish and minerality. The fresh fruit joins bright acidity where the flavors – nectarine, citrus, white peach, pear, honeysuckle, wet stone, cantaloupe – mingle, delighting the palate and giving way to a succulent finish.

Vineyard Notes
-
Pfeiffer Vineyard and King Estate have a winemaking collaboration dating back to 1992, almost from the beginning. Since that time King Estate has acquired virtually all of Pfeiffer’s fruit. Pfeiffer is situated in a unique coastal microclimate in Junction City, about 35 miles north of King Estate. Fruit from Pfeiffer tends to develop a little earlier than at King Estate, producing wines with clean, crisp texture and fruit-forward flavors.
