Tasting Notes
-
Our only Pinot Gris aged in oak barrels, Paradox has a special place in our portfolio. Aging in 100% new French oak for three months allows the oak to gently permeate the wine without overpowering it. The grapes are 37% from King Estate with the balance from our partner vineyards. Fruit notes of pear, lime zest and orange blossom mingle with wildflower, honey, nutmeg and vanilla. With good acid balance, this is a food-friendly wine that opens up new ways to enjoy Pinot Gris. Enjoy now and through 2024.

Vineyard Notes
-
King Estate Winery is certified by Demeter USA as the largest Biodynamic vineyard in the United States and has been certified organic since 2002. King Estate is situated on primarily two kinds of soil: Bellpine, a marine sedimentary soil and Jory, a volcanic soil. The large daily temperature swings of up to 35 degrees, for which western Oregon is known, serve to enhance flavor development in grapes and balance acidity levels. Elevations range from 700 to just over 1,100 feet with varying slope facings.
