Tasting Notes
-
The deep garnet red color in the glass opens up to blackberry, cassis, tea leaves and baked bread on the nose. In the mouth the wine is fleshy with soft tannins and a balanced weight that finishes long and round. Enjoy now and at least through 2031.

Vineyard Notes
-
Block 4C on King Estate uses a high trellis – High Wire – to train the vines high, allowing more exposure of the vine to the sun. This 100% Biodynamic® wine is from the Colmar 538 clone originally from Alsace, France. Hallmarks of this grape are its dark fruit characteristics, spice and earthen tones, all found in this expression of classic Pinot Noir.

Winemaker Notes
-
Whole clusters are destemmed then subjected to a 48-hour cold soak with daily pump overs. For further concentration of flavor and color, 10% of juice is bled off the red wine during fermentation using the Saignée method. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel open top tanks with daily punch downs. All winemaking practices are certified Biodynamic, including native fermentations (primary and secondary) and minimal intervention throughout. Aged in French oak barrels for 14 months, 25% new.
