Tasting Notes

The gorgeous inky purple color portends dark fruit flavors like blackberry joined by black pepper, mocha and tea leaves. Full-bodied with great balance between acidity and tannins, this wine boasts a long and satisfying finish.

Vineyard Notes

Fruit is from the 42-acre Carpenter Hill Vineyard, family owned and operated and located on a steep, east-facing slope at the base of the Siskiyou Mountains in Phoenix, Oregon. The warm, semi-arid climate of Oregon's Rogue Valley creates bold, big-flavored wines that stand out from the other cool climate reds of the Pacific Northwest.

Winemaker Notes

The fruit was cold soaked, punched down, pumped over and fermented in a stainless steel open top tank. Aged 12 months in French oak, 50% new.
