2012 North by Northwest Riesling
-
Tasting Notes
-
Bright acidity with a balanced body is a hallmark of the 2012 Riesling. In this 2012 offering, you will find flavors of ripe apricot and lemon custard on the front palate, transitioning into hint of orange spice and green tea and finishing delightfully with a taste of citrus zest. Drink now through 2015.

Vineyard Notes
-
North by Northwest was founded in 2005 by the King family with the vision to handcraft varietally pure wines from the finest vineyards in Walla Walla Valley and Columbia Valley AVAs, which straddle the border of Washington and Oregon. Wallula Vineyard sits at a spectacular southward-sloping site on the banks of the Columbia River in Washington’s Wallula Gap.

Winemaker Notes

This 2012 Riesling was handpicked, and whole cluster pressed before being cold-settled, racked, and slowly fermented. This wine benefited from sur lie aging for 4 months prior to bottling.
