Tasting Notes

Though fairly young by most vineyard standards, Goodrich has quickly become known for producing reserve quality Pi not Noirs. Our first Vineyard Designate bottling, the 2012 vintage has a ripe, round entrance with a mid palate that evenly coats the entirety in opulence. Elegant richness with a phenomenal balance of fruit, oak, and earth lingers through an extended finish.

Vineyard Notes

Located in Yamhill, Oregon, the southeast facing slopes of Goodrich Vineyard sits at 225-300 feet in elevation. The vineyard benefits from both a cool maritime climate as well as shallow Willakenzie soils which are known for their excellent drainage. Established in 2007 with 17 densely planted acres.

Winemaker Notes

Hand harvested, the grapes were destemmed, cold soaked, punched down, pumped over, and fermented in a stainless steel open top tanks. This wine received 12 months French oak (30%) aging prior to bottling.
